Happy New Year from The Tropics

When icicles hang by the wall
and Dick the shepherd blows his nail.

A prize will be given to anyone who can name and write a bit more of that poem.

Comments:
WHEN icicles hang by the wall
And Dick the shepherd blows his nail,
And Tom bears logs into the hall,
And milk comes frozen home in pail;
When blood is nipt, and ways be foul,
Then nightly sings the staring owl,
Tu-whoo!

Easy! Winter, William Shakespere! Can I choose the prize?

Who would know that then? Who is secretly the most cultured?

And Tom bears logs into the hall,. And milk comes frozen home in pail

Too easy, it was the first result in Google, copy and paste cultur.
I had no idea before the googling though

A merry note
How about these roasted crabs?
Are they of the soft-shelled variety?
To-whit!
From who! - a merry note.

Spring and Winter.To-whit! To-who!
Who is secretly the most cultured.
Pearl.

Is it a big enough prize to warrant losing one's anonymity?
I choose a Bible & the complete works of Shakespeare, just in case of shipwreck.
(perhaps a box of Black Magic would suffice)

The first correct response was actually from the only Chartered Engineer in the family, and I am awaiting my prize......
