Suckling Pig

Like many in Spain it never got beyond the suckling!
 Chicago has
become a pretty sophisticated city although I remember eating  here in 1970 at a place called "Ratzos" with g and her father's friend Catch and being very impressed.
This is at "Tru" restaurant the straight lines are a green zucchini sauce and the blobs are liquorice/kumquat  sauce.
Tasty as well as beautiful.

Comments:
I think that we were in a different price range.
G & I ate in the square off West Oak street - hectic inthe summer evenings, & a local Italian restaurant, amongst others.
We always ate at "Alberts" on Elm St with Catch - a detached white building. It is now alled "56", if I remember correctly, & totally different.Shame.
J & I stayed at The Westminster, just off Michegan & ate at an Italian around the corner, Johny Rockets & a German beer place near the Hilton, where we spent the last night.
It sounds as if you are enjoying your stay - you must visit the Institute of Art.
