Culture Vulture Report

My kind of Ballet! a few people on stage, nobody wearing silly frilly things, nobody showing how they jump and spin in the air, live classical music.
The last thing I ever want at the ballet is hundreds of swans flitting around spinning in the air so you don't know where to look.
In this case, Colorado Ballet, dancing to piano music of Schuman - Scenes from Childhood, Dreaming and other well known pieces.

The dancers moved these large pillars around the stage which, at times, looked like a construction site. Two men carrying one high above themselves while women danced underneath seeming oblivious to the overhead danger.
The first piece they danced had been to Bruch's Violin Concerto and was something of a disaster with failed lifts and generally leaden dancing.
The final piece, was danced to Chopin piano music and was a deliberate slapstick comedy. clever and creative but not enjoyable to me.
