Boulder is the only place in the USA that signed the Kyoto Protocol. People here are slim, athletic, spiritual, vegetarian and allergic to everything especially greenhouse gases.

But look what's in our backyard! as C Eng. has already heard and recognized - yes a coal burning power station - the things that Americans think are from the past, but actually generate most of our electricity.

It looks as if it's on an island but isn't really. I guess the water obviates the need for cooling towers. Smoke only ever comes from the one chimney and it only smokes when the weather is cold. We have a lot more snow today but we are more used to it than the Danes. I still hate every flake of it though!
