R's first bath at home

Umbilical stump gone and we are test riding our new baby bath. She enjoyed it! highly sophisticated with a stretchy pink hammock inside and notches to fit it over the kitchen sink.

We were going to have a photo but we decided it was a bit too revealing

Talking of sophistication, nappies (diapers) have come a long way too
since W&B in the 70s with white towelling ones in a bucket. These
disposable ones fit well, hold tons of stuff, don't have to be washed
and keep her dry even when they are wet. There is a yellow stripe on
the ouside which turns green when the inside is wet. Tabs which stick
where they should and nowhere else, soft, smooth and nice-smelling.
She is feeding and sleeping well and we have our fingers crossed for a
good weight gain on Tuesday when we go for her first appointment with
our new family doctor.
Yesterday (Sunday) we had a test run with R going to work with L for a
few hours while dad earned a crust replacing a fence post. Always fun
digging out a two foot depth of concrete and old wood to set the new
post in new concrete.

Comments:
Sounds like a lot of hard work for an old man :-)

Rose is adorable and modern science should be commended for making diapers so intuitive!
