Sunday morNing ride
My first off-road excursion since I fell off and needed several stitches in my elbow!
Not very challenging but very scenic - see the path to the right of the creek?
This is not my photo and there are actually more leaves on the trees now. It was HOT today - 85 or so F.
I changed the apostrophe - just because I could - but would argue it could be in either place! What if there was only one farmer in Boulder?
Anyway I published it from my phone - wearing sunglasses so I could not see what I was typing!

Made it nonstop! - little William and MK can verify this location!
I didn't wear a watch so don't know how long it took - this is about 1,300 ft - 400 metres above the house.
I am a titanium guy for sure now! - actually when you are climbing a long hill they all feel the same - damned hard work. It just feels much better when you look at the bike when you get to the top.

Titanium Tubes and Tulips
Sorry if this took a long time to download but my cycling and engineer sons will want to click on the pictures to get larger more detailed views.

Moots Mon
Moots is an expensive, very high quality bicycle made in Steamboat Springs Colorado about an hour from here. They are handmade from Titanium and cost new about $7,000 - more than I have even spent on a motorcycle. I sold three bicycles last year, on little William's advice, with the intent of replacing them with ONE good one. An important function of a bicycle for me is "eye candy" it has to look beautiful even when you are not riding it. Moots have perfect welds and the finish is just burnished titanium. They make other, even expensive bikes like Litespeed, look cheap. I am looking at some used ones including, tomorrow, this one in Denver. They have a pivotless rear suspension - visible to the keen eye under the saddle above the back wheel - a small compression spring.
Detailed questions about bicycles should be addressed to William's little World. You might find the answer to your questions in the archives of that blog because a few month ago he ran a, seemingly (to those not into bikes) series on fancy bikes.
Weather here is pretty foul - I can see snow on the mountains but here it is just raining endlessly.
I am hungry for some sarcastic comments!!

Dance Dance Dance
Let us all begin
To step it out
And step it in
To the merry music
Of the violin
We'll dance
The hours away
Katie and Peggy
And Patsy and Poll
Calum and Peter
And Florrie and Moll
Dance dance dance
Dance dance away
The hours together
Dance till dawn
Be in the sky
What care you
And what care I?
I probably learned that song in the late 50's and have not heard or sung it since but I can remember words and tune.
Why can't I remember the name of the restaurant in San Francisco where I made a reservation half an hour ago?
I know the answer - you don't need to tell me!
Scissorhands is Mathew Bourne's latest creation and is as brilliant and creative as ever.
It hit, and somewhat baffled, a Denver audience last night. In California it would have brought the house down. Everything I have seen - Car Man, Play Without Words, Nutcracker, has been excellent.
Off to San Francisco for the weekend for two more nights of culture-vulture-ballet.
Hence the title - dance dance dance - ie three nights of dance.
I love you all
