The Newest Mrs Millard
The woman who has changed my life, for the better, in so many ways
and it's only just beginning!
Watch out for more news from the mountains.

Yes! Those who mentioned cake were correct this is not the first Mrs
Millard but definitely the ultimate one! November 5th seemed like an
appropriate date. The really smart ones may have noticed the ring on
my finger in the Steamboat Springs photograph. We went there for a
three-day honeymoon.

It's been a quiet, long weekend because it was Thanksgiving last
Thursday. We deep fried a Turkey!
The oil cost about three times what the turkey cost. Peanut oil us
recommended and costs $16 per gallon and it took three gallons. I
fried it in the garage and there wasn't enough light for photos. It
took 45 minutes and I thought the result was disappointing. L and Iz
seemed to like it and the fancy sausage and spinnach stuffing L made.
To me the best part was the Brussels Sprouts with bacon and my
fantastic pecan pie.

Porage, porridge etc
Lumy says to me - " divorce and a new woman in your life and all your
family talk about is the spelling if porridge"
I guess she has a bit to learn about the English!
Can you figure this ine out ?

Porage, porridge etc
I suspect g is referring to my spelling thereof. On the Scotts box it
is spelled porage. What more authority could there be than on the box
of the stuff?
I have not swum since I started this job and I miss it a lot.
I am now worried that there isn't enough work to go round.

Dog Blog
Am I the only blogger with a dog?
Max eats anything and is very fond of small children.
Glad to be home on Friday night after tuning 40 or so gas furnaces
this week. Snow is falling and is predicted to continue falling until
Monday! Watch out for the photos.

Weekend in Steamboat Springs
I meant to post this sooner sorry guys.
Once Monday morning comes around it's work/sleep/work/sleep until
Friday night. We had a couple of feet of snow two weeks ago but it has
been in the 60s ever since. If anybody wants to comment about
Farenheit versus Celsius it will save me "doing the math"
We had a great weekend in Steamboat
With sunny days and good food it's situated the other side of the
Continental Divide - rain that falls here flows to the Atlantic but at
Steamboat it flows to the Pacific. It's only about 70 miles from here
across the Rockies, over 14,000 feet high, but there are no roads over
there. The drive is about 150 miles. There are hot springs there which
W,K and J highly recommended after their visit. It was very nice with
lots of pools with different temperatures. The only problem was that
we went in the dark and there was neither moon nor lights. We were
amused by the statement of the guy sling tickets that "flashlights
should shine only at YOUR feet". I forgot to mention that "swimsuits
are optional after sunset"

The New Family
Lumy is Brazilian by birth and half Japanese, half Brazilian. I am hoping she will take me to that warm place to live one day. I am tired of this winter already and we only had one snowstorm yet.
and here is L's daughter Isadora - who is also Brazilian but actually a lot more American than either of us. She is in her freshman year at High School.
